  1. How to get to L’Ametlla de Mar?

Although it is a relatively small town, L’Ametlla de Mar has good connections:

  • From Barcelona or Tarragona, it’s easily accessible via the AP-7 motorway (exit 39). The journey from Barcelona takes about 1h 30 min. You can also get there via the A7 or the N340. From Valencia, also via the AP-7, in just over 2h 30 min.
  • By train. L’Ametlla de Mar’s train station is part of the R16 Rodalies Renfe line. There are daily connections from Tarragona and Barcelona. The train ride is very comfortable and you can also enjoy views of the coastline.
  • By bus. The company Plana connects L’Ametlla with Tortosa and other towns in the area. In summer, there is also a bus service to the town’s residential areas.

  • Winter: The perfect option for a quiet getaway. It’s the moment to discover the essence of the town, without crowds and with the opportunity to taste the most traditional local cuisine. Moreover, if you go in early February, you’ll experience la Candelera, the town’s main festival.

During autumn, winter, and spring, you can also enjoy the gastronomic events:

In January/February, the Galera Days; in April/May, the Tuna Days; in May/June, the Fideus Rossejats Days; and in October, the Arrossejat Days.
