L’Ametlla de Mar joins La ComerÇiada 2026, the great celebration of local commerce in Catalonia

From 5 to 12 October, l’Ametlla de Mar will take part in La ComerÇiada 2026, an initiative that this year is expanding across Catalonia and will make local and neighbourhood commerce the focus of the streets of 32 towns and cities for a whole week.

The fourth edition of La ComerÇiada will bring together 40 business associations and shopping areas and a total of 1,500 establishments from the four Catalan provinces. This major joint initiative aims to highlight the value of local commerce, give visibility to local businesses and remind people of their economic, social and human importance in the daily life of our towns and cities.

The campaign, initially launched by the Federation of Business Organisations of Girona (FOEG), has grown since its first edition to become a Catalonia-wide initiative this year. Although all participants share the same visual identity and a joint communication campaign, each municipality adapts La ComerÇiada to the reality of its own commercial sector, with its own promotions, activities, prize draws and initiatives.

22 establishments in l’Ametlla de Mar are taking part

In l’Ametlla de Mar, a total of 22 establishments will participate in this edition: LaPat Logopèdia, Miraquecolchon, Peixos Duque, Lo Mirador, Lo Niuet, Cafeteria La Rambleta, Valhalla, Maelegance Moda, Can Cisquillo, Esmeralda, Fruiteria Jacqueline, Serveis Informàtics Espasa SL, Fruites i Verdures Codorniu, Confeccions Vila Callau, Consarnau Regals, Carmenblanchdesigns, Diver La Frau, Terra Botiga, Croissanteria Neus, MatriChandra, Txemari and Sports Àlex.

During La ComerÇiada, participating establishments will be identified with the campaign’s promotional materials, and some of them will prepare special activities, promotions, discounts and prize draws for their customers. Among the initiatives announced so far, there is a wide variety of proposals: Cafeteria La Rambleta will raffle a dinner for two; Lo Niuet will offer a free drink with the purchase of a waffle and plans to organise a tasting; Miraquecolchon will offer a 10% discount; Consarnau Regals will raffle two watches, one for men and one for women; Confeccions Vila Callau will offer a 10% discount on all Selmark items and will raffle a sports bag among purchases over €30; Carmenblanchdesigns will organise a basket prize draw; and Serveis Informàtics Espasa will offer free basic computer diagnostics and a 5% discount on labour costs for repairs accepted during La ComerÇiada.

€500 in vouchers to spend at establishments in l’Ametlla de Mar

In addition to the initiatives organised by the individual businesses, there will also be a local prize draw organised in l’Ametlla de Mar.

During La ComerÇiada, participating establishments will distribute tickets among their customers so that they can enter the draw for 10 €50 shopping vouchers, provided by l’Ametlla de Mar Town Council. In total, €500 will be distributed to continue shopping at local businesses, and the winners will be able to spend the vouchers at any of the establishments participating in La ComerÇiada in l’Ametlla de Mar until 31 March.

Once the campaign has ended, the ballot boxes containing the tickets will be collected at the Tourist Office, and on Friday 16 October the draw will be held live through the Instagram profile @ametllademarshopping.

The local celebration will also be added to the prize draws planned across Catalonia. La ComerÇiada will distribute €4,000 in €100 and €200 shopping vouchers through RAC1 and Catalunya Ràdio, which can be spent at establishments participating in the campaign throughout the country.

Shopping locally also means building our community

Beyond discounts, promotions and prize draws, La ComerÇiada aims to focus attention on everything that local commerce represents.

Behind every shop window there are people, projects and businesses that generate economic activity, bring life to the streets and contribute to keeping a town active throughout the year. Shopping at a local establishment also means supporting this model of community.

For this reason, from 5 to 12 October, we invite residents and visitors to take to the streets, enter the participating establishments, discover their offerings and take part in the different promotions and prize draws.

This October, l’Ametlla de Mar is also experiencing La ComerÇiada 2026. Let’s make local commerce thrive!
